For some reason, I have a difficult time digesting coffee. I'm also diabetic. Crunching down on about 10 of these espresso beans in the morning gives me a kick without the "agita" as we Italians say. Thank you Nuts in Bulk for a quick delivery to my home in Hawai'i. I would recommend this item to a friend.Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans By John from At home on March 10, 2012

According to the Harvard Health Letter, coffee may not raise the risk for high blood pressure as previously thought. While the caffeine in coffee is a mild stimulant, the Joint National Committee on Hypertension has stated that there is no link between coffee consumption and sustained rates of high blood pressure. Additionally, the substances in coffee that do increase cholesterol levels are effectively removed by paper filters. Coffee may also have a protective effect against cancer, specifically, researchers found that coffee drinkers had a 50% lower risk of developing liver cancer compared to nondrinkers. It also appeared to lower the risk of colon, breast and rectal cancers. New studies have even found that coffee offers protection against Parkinson's Disease in men, with heavy coffee drinkers having the lowest risk. A cup o'joe may even cut your risk of getting type 2 diabetes in half. In a study of over 126,000 people over 18 years, Harvard researchers found coffee not only lowers blood sugar levels, but it boosts resting metabolic rate, both of which can deter the development of diabetes.
Whether you like it black or heavy on the cream and sugar, the majority of U.S. adults drink coffee. Coffee may even modify some of the damage done by bad habits such as smoking and excessive drinking. Researchers at Vanderbilt University's Institute for Coffee Studies found that folks who drank coffee in addition to smoking and drinking had far less heart disease and liver disease compared to those who didn't drink coffee. The caffeine in a hot cup of coffee may even help manage an asthma attack in the absence of medication; it can relieve the pain of a headache, banish a bad mood and even help stave off cavities.
