Raw Whole Macedamias
I love macadamias. You can't get them all the time but you can get them at Nuts in Bulk.

I ordered one pound of raw whole macadamias from two different companies on the same date as I want to find a supplier for these nuts for an ingredient of a favorite confection of mine. The "other" company's nuts arrived first, and when I bit into one I thought I was going to lose a tooth. They were hard and tasteless. Then my order from Superior Nut Company arrived, and I was hesitant about testing this product. However, I had a totally opposite experience from that described previously; your macadamias have great flavor and are obviously fresh. I will definitely order again.

Raw whole macadamias
I was very happy with the service and the macadamias were fine, not 100% fresh but good and I will order from Nuts In Bulk again. If the macadamias were absolutely fresh I would undoubtedly rate at 5 stars.
ProsThe macadamias are whole as advertised, and good quality.
ConsThe macadamias are not 100% fresh, maybe about 80% - I'm kinda picky.

Outstanding high-oil macadamias
I have ordered macadamia nuts from over two dozen sources in the past months, and these are the best I have found. Specifically, these are macadamia nuts with high oil content, which thus have a "melt in your mouth" quality. Most nuts, including nearly all I have sampled from hawai'i, are the drier nuts with a lower oil content. Apparently this depends on the specific variety of the tree, and it seems growers may prefer the lower oil varieties which may be easier to dry and process.
I was told these nuts originated from Costa Rica. Hopefully, Superior Nut Co. will continue getting their macadamias from this source!
ProsGood quality nuts, very few w/damaged (rancid) oil due to heating during drying or processing
Nuts have high oil content
ConsNo vacuum packaging, so I put them in vacuum seal jars before they go in my freezer for long-term storage

I had my taste of fresh raw macadamia nuts on a recent trip to Hawaii and I loved them. So I ordered these raw macadamia thinking they were the same as the on I had in Hawaii. I was somewhat disappointed because they were dried macadamia. But I soaked them in water overnight and the next day they tasted just like fresh macadamia nuts! I will surely order again and recommend to friends.

Did you know that over 80% of the fat in macadamia nuts is good-for-you monounsaturated fat? A 2008 Pennsylvania State University study found that after 30 days on a macadamia nut-based diet (about 37% calories from fat) participants had lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol levels, compared to participants on a “typical” American diet (about 37% of calories from unhealthy, saturated fats). Macadamia nuts also contain the highest levels known of paimitoleic fatty acid, a beneficial fat also found in fish oils. When eaten as part of a heart smart diet, macadamia nuts can help further reduce the risks for cardiovascular disease. Mahalo!

Question: I would like to know if I buy raw macadamia nuts and vacuum pack them how long will they last? Also would like to know the same about pecans.
Answer: If vacuum packed and stored at 60-70F, macadamias will last for 6 months. As for the pecans, we do not recommend vacuum packing them. They can be stored at room temperature for 3 months, if refrigerated they can be stored for up to 6 months.
Question: I would like to order some macadamia nuts. Please let me know the price.
Answer: The price of our Raw Whole Macadamia Nuts is as listed on the website.
Question: ABOUT HOW MANY NUTS ARE IN A POUND?
Answer: They are about 200-220 Raw Whole Macadamia Nuts per pound.
Question: How do I know how fresh are these macadamia raw nuts?
Answer: The product is from this year's crop.
Question: I was given macadamias right off the tree, I can get them out of the first shell but how do you open the second shell? I can hear the nut when I shake it, I have hit it with a hammer and it doesn't even leave a mark on the shell....help and thank you for the info..
Answer: Macadamias are known for their extreme difficulty in shelling. It takes 300 pounds per square inch of pressure to crack the shell. That's why they are rarely sold in the shell. A heavy duty Nutcracker should be able to break the macadamia shell.
Question: What is the country of origin of the Macadamias you offer?... Thank you
Answer: Our raw whole macadamias are from Costa Rica.
Question: where are the macademia nuts coming from: Hawai? Australia? Arizona?

Answer: Raw whole macadamias are Style 1. The country of origin is currently Costa Rica but that can vary at times. We are able to ship truck loads if you desire. For pricing on quantities of 1000 lbs and up please e-mail us at info@NutsinBulk.com
Question: Are they salted?

Answer: These macadamia nuts are shelled, they are not in the shell.
