Ivory Jordan Almonds

WIth my daughter getting married and having a traditional Greek Orthodox wedding, I needed to purchase Ivory Almonds to make the traditional greek wedding favors. This was the "only" place that I could find Ivory almonds that were reasonable in price. After reading the reviews from others who purchased this product, I ordered 10 lbs of them. They arrived quickly, tasted fresh and look great in the wedding favors.

Delicious and fresh

These were a great purchase for our Italian wedding favors. They look great and taste fabulous. Not to mention the ship time was SO quick!

When I opened the box my family would not stop eating them. My two year old granddaughter and six year old grandson had never eaten these before and they kept wanting more. I had to hide them or have to order more for my daughter's wedding in October.

They arrived in a timely fashion and have great flavor.

I purchased these sugar-coated almonds to make the traditional Italian wedding favor for my upcoming nuptials in April.

The almonds had a wonderful ivory color which was a must for my bride-to-be since she is wearing a vintage couture gown that is not the traditional white. The ivory-colored sugar coating had a smooth, high-gloss finish. This is in comparison to other companies who sell a sugar-coated almond that has a rougher, matted-finish where you can almost feel the grains of sugar. I feel that the ivory coating has a softer feel and is not as bright as some of the white almonds that I have seen (and that were not purchased from the Superior Nut Company.

I tasted a few of the almonds upon their arrival and they were just as advertised – fresh and great tasting. I would caution that sugar-coated almonds are an acquired taste and not for everyone, especially if you have only tasted the stale ones at a wedding. If this is your first foray into this delicacy, I would strongly recommend purchasing them from the SNC. I recently had a batch from another event that tasted awful – the sugar-coating was too sweet and the almonds were mushy and did not have a nutty taste. The combination was quite offensive to the palette. In comparison, these almonds had a wonderful combination of tastes – the sugar coating was not too sweet and when you bit into the almond, you could actually taste the nut.

I guess the most impressive thing that I could say about these sugar-coated almonds is that both of my parents gave them high marks. As you can imagine, they are older Italian-Americans who have had these wonderful treats numerous times over the years, especially as small favors at the receptions for baptisms, showers, and weddings. They have tasted the good, the bad, and the ugly. They also have no qualms about sharing their honest opinions about things. Well, I brought a handful of them over to their house for a trial and both of them approved. Enough said.

The Superior Nut Company’s customer service and delivery options were also great. I placed the order a few weeks before I wanted them sent and I received them right on time (actually a full day before requested). The package came in great condition and all of its contents were in perfect shape. The delivery option that I choose was FedEx.

I am so happy with my purchase! I ordered the jordan almonds for my wedding favors. The color is perfect, just as shown in picture, and since I do not like almonds my fiance tried one and said they were very good...he keeps bugging me to try more. The almonds were also delivered quickly and they look perfect! I can not wait to put the favors together and I know that my guests will enjoy them!
