Turkish Pistachio Nuts are the Best
By Tom Mazza from Clive, Iowa on January 10, 2015
I've loved these imported pistachios over 25 years when I first discovered them. Although I was used to the red dyed variety, Turkish pistichios are a bit smaller and natural without coloring added. The taste is distinct unlike the California variety. Although Iranian pistachios are known world wide as the absolute best, Turkish are the next best thing you can buy as Iranian pistachios are not legal to import to this country. The price has jumped since my last order. I will still buy them and savor every bite. If you never tried them, you owe it to your taste buds.
Pros:
The flavor is unique. Turkish are the only pistachios I will buy. I'm hooked.
Cons:
The price went up quite a bit since my last order. It's most likely a supply and demand issue. Hopefully in the future there will be a less costly source.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Turkish Antep pistachios are the best!
By Lynn McCurdy from West Michigan on April 30, 2014
Fast shipping, good price; the pistachios are fresh and delicious.
Pros:
Freshness, taste, fast arrival
Cons:
More difficult to open and more expensive than California "pistachios", but worth it!

Small packages, great...5 lb not so much
By Jacque from Penn Valley, CA on April 28, 2014
Originally I ordered 1 lb packages of this and loved the pistachios. So, I ordered 2 more 1-lb packages and a 5 lb package (to share with family on a trip)...the 5 lb has quite a few bad pistachios, I would say that 25 % are not opened at all or contain nuts that are bad, I mean bad to the point that they are not edible. Many times you can't get the nut out of the shell even if it is cracked a bit. So, IF I buy again, I will only buy small packages.
Pros:
Normally these are excellent, flavorful and delicious, I might recomment but with the bad things to consider because it is an expensive purchase and a shame when 25% are inedible for one reason or another.
Cons:
Too many bad nuts and too many that can't open or that only open partially and you can't get the nut out.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Great!
By Jack from Grass Valley, CA on April 1, 2014
These pistachios had a creamy taste that was delightful. I will order this again. The nut itself was quite a bit smaller than other pistachios but I like that because I ate less and enjoyed them just as much as the larger ones. They were perfectly salted.
Pros:
Love the flavor and the amount of salt.
Cons:
A little hard to crack some of them.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

turkish pistachios
By Gregory Lopez from catonsville md on March 13, 2014
Great product with equally as good service
Pros:
The nuts
Cons:
$$;
Too many aren't openable,; no crack without using the
Teeth--some danger there,
But that's the nature of the smaller nut!

Pros:
The taste is superb.

Different and good
By berylman from Las Vegas, NV on January 25, 2013
This was my first taste of Anteps, so I have nothing to compare them to, but they were tasty and seemed to be of a consistently high quality. Compared to standard Kerman pistachios (the variety commonly grown in U.S.) they are small, difficult to open, and have a crunchier texture and significantly different flavor. I probably prefer these, but its not so much that they're better, just different.
Pros:
Wonderful flavor that is much different than most pistachios.
Cons:
These things are tiny--about half the size of your avg. pistachio--and somewhat more difficult to shell.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Turkish Antep pistachio
By Don C. Kirkham from Albuquerque, NM on November 11, 2012
As described, Quick shipping. I always look for promotions but sadly, this item is never included
Pros:
Turkish pistachios are far better than nuts grown stateside. Your price is good.
Cons:
This batch didn't seem as fresh and flavorful as purchases in the past. I should have ordered less. Were they last year's crop? Though I indicated I wouldn't recommend this to a friend, I would suggest waiting a month or two to insure product came from a different batch.

Delivery of my order was prompt and arrived intact and secure. You can't ask for more!
By Ann from Salisbury, North Carolina on October 12, 2012
The Turkish Antep variety is superior compared to other pistachios. Still, the California nuts are great tasting too. Glad for the oportunity to try something new. I found that at NUTS IN BULK. I will visit them again with more purchases.
Pros:
Pistachios happen to be a favorite of mine!
Cons:
Nothing to dislike.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

FANTASTIC!!
By Elaine from Sugar Land, TX on August 30, 2012
These pistachios are a real treat! I eat them daily because I love the taste and they really are a healthy snack. The Anteps are very different from the regular California pistachios; they are full of flavor and not too salty. Yum!
Pros:
Taste, quality, fast shipping
Cons:
Shipping can be pricey because I live way down in Texas...

Turkish Antep Pistachios
By Elaine from Dallas, Texas on May 1, 2012
There should be a warning on these nuts! They are actually "too" good. I know that they're healthy so I'm allowing myself to indulge...! I discovered them at a local Middle Eastern store - I only knew the pistachios from California. I liked them also, but the Turkish are so much better. The only downside is that they are pretty expensive by the time you pay shipping (I'm all the way down in Texas). I have to learn to eat them more sparingly, I guess. I don't think you'll be disappointed in these fantastic pistachios!
Pros:
Everything from taste to nutritional value.
Cons:
Cost

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Can't stop eating them!!!
By Stacey from Canandaigua, NY on April 6, 2012
My daughter has actually lost weight by including these in her diet. Great snack to boost the metabolism and increase energy. It is nice because the small size and sometimes difficult to open shells slow you down a little and offset the calories!

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Excellent Nuts
By Joseph Harris from Oklahoma City, OK. on March 28, 2012
I love these Turkish nuts. Other companies I have ordered from put too much salt on them. Nuts in Bulk has 'real' lightly salted nuts. There are fresh and taste good. I highly recommend them to others. Once you have these you will never go back to the 'so called' Califorina pistachios"!

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Given as a gift

Great Surprise
By V. Hill from Sweet Home Al. on October 11, 2011
I bought these as a birthday gift for my husband. We lived in Europe several years ago and would visit Turkey alot. He always ate the pistachios from the street vendors. He has been disappointed in the Ca. pistachios for years now. ALways saying nothing is like those Turkish nuts. Well, he smelled these and said oh yeah, these are the ones. So, far, he has eaten them every night so I am sure we will be ordering more. Thank you for providing a great surprise..

Fresh Taste
By Brian from MD on April 1, 2011
We grew up in the 60's-70's. In Christmas time my uncle would bring over a 5lb. bag of pistachios. It got to the point where we would save money to buy our own bag of pistashios. Then all of a sudden they were gone and that taste was gone. I knew these pistachios came from Iran. At my age I did not equate the fall of the Shah, with my prefered nuts. Not until purchasing these Antep did find a taste as close to those pistachios of my youth,
Pros:
Fresh Taste

I would recommend this item to a friend.

p>Pistachios

One ounce of pistachios (about 49 kernels) is an excellent source critical vitamins and minerals, particularly copper, manganese, vitamin B6, thiamin, and phosphorus. Like all nuts, pistachios are rich in fiber, are a great source of protein, are cholesterol-free, and are chock full of monounsaturated fats. However, unlike other nuts pistachios contain significant amounts of the carotenoids, lutein and zeaxanthin. Carotenoids are a special type of antioxidant linked to color, and associated with reducing the risk of age-related macular degeneration, one of the most common causes of irreversible blindness in older adults.
